Alex Haueisen, MD

Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Haueisen is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist who is excited to bring his clinical and surgical expertise to Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Dr. Haueisen completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was elected to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society upon graduation. Following this, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. While there he received an award for Consultant of the Year for his unwavering dedication to patients. Following residency, he chose to complete an additional year of training in glaucoma at the Doheny Eye Institute in Pasadena, CA, driven by a desire to offer the most advanced care to his patients.

Dr. Haueisen is pleased to offer a full spectrum of options for glaucoma care, from traditional surgeries, to minimally-invasive procedures (MIGS), to lasers and more. He believes in tailoring his treatment approach to the unique needs and desires of each patient. He is a skilled cataract surgeon trained in implanting the latest and most advanced options for intraocular lens technology. He believes strongly in patient education, shared decision-making with patients, and remaining at the forefront of ophthalmic and glaucoma care. He is excited to be able to bring his expertise to Las Vegas and the SW Nevada area.
